Akershus County Council owns and runs 34 upper secondary schools in Akershus. The total number of pupils attending the schools is just over 20,000.

Apprentices

Fagopplæringen are responsible for the apprenticeship schemes of the county. Approximately 1000 pupils sign a contract of apprenticeship each year.

Adult education

We offer upper secondary education to adults who have none. They may also have free career counselling and assessment of their actual competency.

The commissioner for pupils and apprentices

The task of the commissioner for pupils and apprentices is to protect pupils and apprentices against unfair treatment. The commissioner offers advice on rights and duties, assisting in particular cases if needed.

Young people who need counselling or help:

The PPT/OT office offers help and advice with personal and school-related problems, as well as educational counselling. The offer applies to young pupils/apprentices in upper secondary school or young people under the age of 22 not using their right to upper secondary education.
